“We stayed in the handicap room. The shower/bath was a marvel of plumbing complexity but the shower didn't work. There was a lever to direct the water either to the tub or the shower and once up to the shower there was another lever to direct the water to either a wand or the fixed shower head. The first lever, the one for either tub or shower would allow water into the tub but when switched to the shower setting the water flow just stopped. “Our stay at Tru by Hilton Lake Charles was such a pleasant experience. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast buffet was good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Great parking space and convenient. It made our anniversary getaway even more comfortable and enjoyable while we soaked in that beautiful bayou view. I definitely recommend this location and don’t always go by negative reviews, pray about it and see for yourself.”

“You get what you pay for. In this case my room was not clean. Dusty everywhere and hair in bathtub. It needs a real cleaning and not a quick wipe down. Breakfast isn't any good and coffee is horrible but this place is manageable if you don't want to pay high prices in the casino area. 15 minutes to Golden nugget ride ”

“Close to casinos. Continental breakfast was bleak. Coffee watered down, juices were warm, only had sliced bread for toaster. I think the milk was sour. I would understand if we were the last ones there at 9:30 for the breakfast and everything sat out for 3 hours and was depleted. We went at 7:30. ”

“Friendly staff, great pool. Kitchen lacked enough silverware and dirty dishes when we arrived, floors were sticky and we had to let the hot water run for 20 minutes before it was warm. Parking was a challenge. Over all, nice stay and will consider staying again next time we visit the area.”
